The article completed by Guangzhou University (GZHU) research team led by Professor Kong Fanjiang and Professor Liu Baohui from the School of Life Sciences and Research Center for Molecular Evolution Innovation which is entitled "Parallel selection of distinctTof5alleles drove the adaptation of cultivated and wild soybean to high latitude" has been published on Molecular Plant. The article provides insight into how wild soybean adapted to high latitudes through natural selection, and indicates that cultivated soybean underwent changes in the same gene but involving a distinct allele that was artificially selected after domestication.
GZHU is the first corresponding unit and some of the faculty members from the Research Center for Molecular Evolution Innovation are co-first authors. Three GZHU professors are corresponding authors.
