On May 10, the 12th International Frontiers of Algorithmic Workshop (FAW) 2018 was hosted in Guangzhou University (GZHU). Academician Yao Qizhi, the world renowned computer scientist and the first Asian Turing Award winner, gave an academic lecture in the workshop. GZHU President Wei Minghai attended and addressed the workshop. Participants included over 300 scholars and graduates in computer science all over Guangdong Province.
