China-Italy Applied Statistics Meeting Successfully Held in Padova

China-Italy Applied Statistics Meeting was co-hosted by Confucius Institute and School of Statistics Science at the University of Padova. Prestigious professors from Italian, Dutch and Chinese universities attended the meeting to exchange views in depth on the theory and practice of Statistics Science.

Professor Paccagnella, Vice-president of Padova University addressed the meeting, in which he voiced the sincere hope in promoting academic exchange between China and Italy and gratitude for the efforts contributed by the Confucius Institute in arranging this conference.

During the meeting, Italian Professors Lorenzo Finesso, Giorgio Picci elucidated the application of “I-type Factor Analysis Model” and “Random Three-dimensional Model”, which drew huge interest from the audiences. Chinese experts, on the other hand, presented new perspectives by employing Mixed Experiment in Chinese traditional medicine study. This meeting deepened the participants’ understanding on application of Statistics in different fields.
