[09-05] GZHU Research Team Develops the Theory of Micro-electric Field on Material Surface

The research team led by Professor Hu Chun from the Institute of Environmental Research at Greater Bay of Guangzhou University proposed to construct molecular orbital polarization micro-electric field on the catalyst surface, complex ECs organic molecules by surface chemical adsorption, and reduce its chemical bond energy, thus significantly reduce the energy required for ECs stable structure fracture. Based on this innovative theory, two technological breakthroughs have been achieved.

The related achievements have been published on top journals in environmental research to include Environmental Science & Technology, iScience, and Fundamental Research, and more than 20 patents at home and abroad have been granted. The research team has been funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Pearl River Talent Plan of Guangdong Province.
