In 2021:

Environmental Sciences/Ecology and Social Sciences of Guangzhou University are among the top 1% in ESI. It has become the sixth discipline entering the world top 1% after engineering, computer sciences, chemistry, materials sciences and environment/ecology.

Guangzhou University is ranked the 99th place among Chinese universities in 2021. Ten subjects in Guangzhou University have been included in the 2021 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects.

A total of 29 subjects have been listed in the 2021 Best Chinese Subjects Rankings. 

The year 2021 marked the first inclusion of Guangzhou University in the 2022 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, ranging from 600 to 800 worldwide and 35 to 49 nationwide. 

The rapid development of Guangzhou University showcased in its continued climb in Shanghai Rankings and U.S. News Rankings has consolidated our status as one of the top 100 universities nationwide. The university is ranked the 57th place in Best Global Universities in China.

In 2022,

According to the latest Shanghai Ranking, Guangzhou University is ranked the 91st place among Chinese universities in 2022.

Guangzhou University is ranked between 501 and 600 in ShanghaiRanking’s Academic Ranking of World Universities and between 72 and 93 among Chinese universities.

A total of 31 majors of Guangzhou University(GZHU) were on the list to include the Computer Science and Technology, Architecture and Materials Sciences and Engineering. Cyberspace Security and Public Management are among the top 10% in China.
