The forum with the topic of Education Empowering Rural Revitalization: Promoting Research and Practice on School-Local Farming Cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative was hosted during the 2022 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week by Guizhou Municipal Department of Education, Qiannan Normal University for Nationalities and Guangzhou University. Responsible persons of these three units attended the meeting.
In-depth discussion was made on the key, difficult and hot issues in promoting rural revitalization by colleges and universities. By drawing on the advanced ideas and rich experiences of rural revitalization through education at home and abroad, different universities could learn from each other under the background of the Belt and Road Initiative. The theoretical research and practice of the combination of school and agriculture could be advanced.
Wu Ni, Director of the Institute of Educational Strategy and Macro-Policy of Chinese Academy of Educational Sciences, François Bédard, Professor of University of Quebec Montreal, Shi Yunhui, President of Qiannan Normal University for Nationalities, and Xie Zhiju, Dean of the Institute of Rural Revitalization of Guangzhou University, made keynote speeches at the Forum. Another eleven domestic and foreign experts and scholars attended the forum online and offline and gave speeches.
