Guangzhou University, June, 2014:According to the 15th Official Document of 2014 issued by Guangdong Educational Ministry, 11 specialties of our university have been ratified to recruit candidates up to the key university qualification in the coming fall.
The 11 newly upgraded specialties are Economics, Finance, International Economy and Trade, Accounting, Radio & Television Broadcasting, Internet and New Media, Mechanical Design, Manufacture & Automation, Computer Science (Computer Science and Technology, Network Engineering, Software Engineering), Pedagogy, Preschool Education, Education Technology. With this addition, altogether 21 specialties will admit students directly from the key university candidate level; meanwhile, other specialties of our university will remain in the second batch of enrollment in admission. Through this adjustment, these 21 specialties achieve a balance in liberal arts and science, which can further meet various needs of candidates.
As introduced by the director of the Admission Office, the newly approved specialties are equipped with solid research foundation, devoted faculty, optimistic employment prospective, thus meeting the demands of society. Along with the academic strength and talent cultivation of our university being constantly improved, and also through the collective efforts of all the teachers and students, our university is well on the way to attaining the strategic goal of becoming a domestically first-class and world-renowned university.
