Guangzhou University, Dec.5, 2011:On the morning of November 29, over 800 students from 21 schools in Guangzhou University visit the Qian Xuesen Exhibition which is on a roadshow in Guangdong Science Center. It is the 100th anniversary of the birth of Qian Xuesen who is the honorable Scientist of the People in China.
The exhibition is composed of four parts: the Father of Chinese Aviation Industry, Explorer of Science and Technology, Scientist of the People, Success of a Strategic Scientist. During the visit, our students read as many as around 400 photos, exhibits and historical records about Qian Xuesen, which shows his contribution to Chinese aviation industry as well as rockets and missiles technology. Thus, the exhibition teaches them a great lesson about patriotism, innovation and national integrity. Liu Yang, a freshman majoring in physics and engineering said, “The visit helps me better understand Mr. Qian, and it motivates me to study hard so that I can serve our country as Mr. Qian does”
The exhibition is held on the 3rd floor of Guangdong Science Center from now to Dec. 18, and it is open to public free of charge.
