Guangzhou University, September 29, 2012:A grand party is held in the school’s sport stadium to welcome new comers of Class 2012 and celebrate the National Day. The party is so joyful that it meets its theme “youth and progress” very well, and both students and school leaders such as Mr. Yi Zuoyong, Mr. Lai Weihua and Ms Chen Shuang enjoy the show very much.
The party begins by a thrilling dragon dance performance whose drumbeats and acrobatic moves excite the audience to cheer and clap. Then a group of boy students from School of Music and Dance put on a dance featuring Chinese minority ethnic group, followed by the school choir and other popular student singers. There is a special part of the party: a photo show plus students’ recital. The photo is about Xiao Bing, a student suffering from poliomyelitis, goes to school carried by his classmates on their back every day. With the melody of a beautiful song, the audience is so touched by the students’ helping each other that they become quiet down and reflect on their own happy moments with their classmates.
The party ends with everyone singing a songYouth and Progress. The school’s leaders extend their best wishes to the students and hope that they can make good use of their campus life and fight for a promising future.
