A Cooperation Framework Agreement Signed between GU and Russian Far Eastern State Transport University

A delegation led by the Vice-president of GU Fu Jiyang, consisting of related persons in charge from International Office, Department of Science and Technology, and School of Civil Engineering, visited universities in Russia from Otc. 13 to 17 and discussed issues of cooperation in technology and education. It signed a cooperation framework agreement with Russian Far Eastern State Transport University and achieved cooperation intent with Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

During the visit of Russian Far Eastern State Transport University, Fu Jiyang and others in the delegation attended the Cooperation Framework Agreement Signing Ceremony with the first Vice-president of Russian Far Eastern State Transport University Andrei Ganus, the Vice-president in charge of scientific research Andrei Serenko and leaders of its International Cooperation Institute, International Cooperation Department and the Transportation Construction Institute.

At the meeting, the two parties had an in-depth discussion on the issues of scientific research, the cultivation of talents, the development of teachers and the cooperation in running schools based on the cooperation intent, which was reached during the visit of the leaders from Russian Far Eastern State Transport University to our university in September this year. Subsequently, Fu Jiyang and Andrei Ganus, on behalf of the universities, signed a cooperation framework agreement on and a cooperation intent memorandum. Under the agreement, the two universities will cooperate in areas such as student exchange, faculty and staff exchange, joint research projects and consulting, organizing refresher courses and academic conferences, scientific advice and information exchange, etc.

Fu Jiyang and the members of the delegation were also invited to visit the Bauman Moscow State Technical University. They had talks on cooperation issues with Vice-president of Bauman Moscow State Technical University Prof. Ivan A. Arkharov and Vice-president Sergey V. Korshunov, and reached preliminary cooperation intent.
