On May 6, a delegation of 22 people from King’s College, Hong Kong visited Guangzhou university through the organization of Hok Yau Club, Hong Kong. A symposium was held where directors from related departments, student representatives of GU and the delegation of King’s College were engaged in discussions and exchanged ideas.
King’s College is a leading government funded secondary school in Hong Kong. To know better of the enrollment of Hong Kong students in mainland China and strengthen the communication and cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong, Hok Yau Club organized the delegation of King’s College to visit Guangzhou University, Sun Yat-Sen University, South China University of Technology, Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine as well as other universities to experience campus life. Guangzhou University is the first station of the visit.
During the symposium, the directors responsible for student enrollment shared the information of Guangzhou University and relevant policies of the enrolling Hong Kong students in the university and answered the questions of the visitors. After the symposium, the delegation had lunch at a student canteen and attended some classes together with Hong Kong students studying here. The delegation also visited the library, student dormitories as well as some other facilities in the campus and listened to the introduction of campus life presented by student representatives.
