On October 8th, an activity of total lunar eclipse observation was organized by the Astrophysics Center, the Student Society Association and the Association of Astrophiles. Over 800 astronomy lovers from all sectors of the society witnessed the important astronomical phenomena, the only observable one in our country this year.
o achieve a satisfactory effect, the organizers invited specialists to introduce this astronomical phenomenon. Among the 800 observers were amateur astronomers from our school, students from Guang Ya Middle School, photography enthusiasts and representatives of scholars specializing in astronomical phenomena. By the means of fully automatic telescopes and projectors provided on the spot, the participants observed the whole process simultaneously. It is known that this activity attracted much attention of the social media and was covered by Nanfang Daily, Guangzhou Daily, Information Times, New Express, Southern Metropolis Daily and other news media. The whole activity was also broadcast on the Guangdong TV news program and Guangzhou TV.
