Student of GU Won the Champion of BEC Speech Contest

Guangzhou University, Mar. 27, 2012:Chen Kaiqian, a third-year student from School of Foreign Language Studies won the first place in the China Region Semi-final (South China Final) of the 2011-2012 Business English Certificate (BEC) Speech Contest held in Jinan University.

The top 15 in the BEC-V and BEC-H exams in South China region competed in the speech contest, which included competitions of prepared speech, impromptu speech and Q & A. Chen Kaiqian's quickness, fluency and articulation captured the judges and audience, winning a precious title against students from distinguished universities such as Sun Yat-sen University, Xiamen University and Central South University. She was offered an internship in KPMG, one of the Big Four accounting firms in the world, during summer vocation in 2012 and the winter vocation in 2013.
