English Teachers Needed

Guangzhou University is seeking qualified English teachers to work on their campus in Guangzhou, China. Teachers will provide instruction in reading, writing and speaking.

Guangzhou University is a comprehensive university with an undergraduate and graduate enrollment of approximately 42,000 students featuring a full range of disciplines with 27 colleges offering ten major disciplines including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering management and art. The University’s School of Foreign Studies, guided by principles of openness, inclusiveness, and innovation in education, is committed to cultivating globally minded professionals with cross cultural communication skills.  

Since 2001, Guangzhou University has consistently ranked among the top 100 in “Chinese University Rankings” published by ARWU. In the 2023 Shanghai World University Academic Rankings, GU is ranked 97th on the main list, 463rd globally and 78th among mainland Chinese universities.  

Applicants should have the necessary educational qualifications and teaching skills required. Applicants interested in serving as teachers should be native English speakers, hold recognized English teaching certification, hold a bachelor's degree or higher, be 55 years or younger and have a minimum of two years teaching experience. Guangzhou University offers competitive salaries and benefits which include free campus housing.
