From November 16 to 22, a GZHU delegation led by Professor Gu Xingfa, Chairman of the China Remote Sensing Committee, Vice Secretary-General of the Asian Association on Remote Sensing, and faculty from the School of Geography and Remote Sensing attended the 45th Asian Conference on Remote Sensing held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The conference, organized by the Asian Association on Remote Sensing and hosted by the Survey Department of Sri Lanka, centered around the theme "Towards Economic Sustainability through Spatial Data Services." The event saw participation from representatives of 27 countries and regions, over 400 conference attendees, and 17 enterprises.
At this conference, Professor Gu Xingfa, Professor Yang Xiankun, and Dr. Wang Dakang delivered academic reports titled "Development of China's High-Resolution Earth Observation System," "Monitoring Changes in Chlorophyll a Concentration in Rivers of the Pearl River Basin from 2013 to 2022," and "Evolution of Global O3-NOx-VOCs Sensitivity Before and After COVID-19 Based on Satellite Observations of Formaldehyde and NO2," respectively. They actively participated in thematic meetings and poster sessions, showcasing their research and exchanging ideas.
