At 6:23 AM Beijing time on June 2, 2024, the Chang'e 6 probe successfully landed in the preselected landing area of the South Pole-Aitken Basin on the far side of the moon. At 9:15 AM, the lunar soil structure exploration instrument began operation, and by 9:43 AM, radar data was transmitted to the Beijing Aerospace Flight Control Center. Professor Liu Hai from the School of Civil and Transportation Engineering once again assisted the research team from the Aerospace Information Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in the rapid processing and analysis of the radar data from the Chang'e 6 mission. In recognition of Professor Liu Hai's contributions, the Aerospace Information Research Institute sent a letter of thanks to Guangzhou University.
