Guangzhou University(GZHU) research team led by Professor Wang Pingshan of Institute of Environmental Research at Greater Bay discovered the halide ion directed templation effect of quadruple-stranded helicates. This work provides a new idea for selective extraction of iodine ions and prepares for the application off iodine ion sensing, separation and purification.
Professor Wang Pingshan and Wu Tun from the Greater Bay Area Institute of Environment of GZHU are the corresponding authors of the article. GZHU graduate student Liu Yang and Jiang Zhiyuan, a doctor of Central South University, are the first authors.
