Delegation of Far Eastern Transport University Visits GU

The delegation of Far Eastern Transport University from Russia, led by Vice-principle Andrey Ganus, visited Guangzhou University on September 13. Vice-president Fu Jiyang, on behalf of our university, received the guests and carried out a fruitful discussion on issues of mutual cooperation. The participants included leaders in related departments and colleges.

In the meeting, Mr. Fu introduced the educational mechanism and philosophy as well as the faculty of our university. The geographical advantages, the thinking and achievements in internationalization of our university were emphasized. At the end of the meeting, two parties reached a preliminary consensus on carrying out the international cooperation and academic communication.

Russian Far Eastern Transport University is approved by the Ministry of Education in the Sino-foreign cooperative education. With its history dated back to 1937, this university has cultivated large numbers of professionals and ranks in front among Russian national universities in the field of science and engineering. Beyond that, it offers more than 60 undergraduate programs, 43 Master programs and 23 Ph.D. programs. The university has 15,000 students, including 300 international students.
