Guangzhou University, November 19, 2013:On November 16 and 17, the 8th Guangzhou Friendship Games was held at Tianhe Sports Center. Frederic Girani, a French Teacher of GU and his American teammate James Russell won tennis championship in Men's Doubles. Anthony Hutchings, a British teacher of GU won a Bronze Medal in Men’s Singles.
Guangzhou Friendship Games is organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangzhou Municipal Government and the Administration of Sports of Guangzhou Municipality. 1281 participants signed up in 6 games (basketball, five-man football, tennis, badminton, table tennis and Bowling), among whom 267 are Chinese while the rest are foreigners (including 17 Consulate Generals in Guangzhou).
