Guangzhou University, November 4,, 2013:From October 26 to November 2, the 17th “FLTRP CUP” National English Debating Final was held in Beijing, Huang Junsong (School of Foreign Language, Class of 2010) and Wu Jing (Class of 2013) representing Guangzhou University, trained by Foreign Language Education Centre of GU won the second prize.
National English Debating Competition is the most influential and highest level one in our country. Totally more than 400 colleges and universities participated in this year in six competition zones and 104 teams made it to final, including debate teams from Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan. The GU team got higher scores than Peking University, Fudan University and other distinguish universities. Their outstanding performance is the result of their professional skills training, which reveals the significance of GU’s strategy of talent training in an all-round way.
