Cambridge Professor Nicholas Chrimes Gives a Lecture at GZHU

    On the afternoon of September 20, as invited, Prof. Nicholas Chrimes from the Cambridge University (CU) gave a lecture at Guangzhou University (GZHU). The lecture was entitled “Cambridge University –its Soul and Secrets Behind its Success”. It was hosted by Prof. Qu Shaobing, Chair of Guangzhou University Council. More than 400 staff and students attended  the lecture.

                  

   Prof Chrimes graduated from the University of Bristol and the Insead Business School in France consecutively. He was curator of the Fitzwilliams Museum at Cambridge University, and is Principal Consultant on Oriental Culture Research in Cambridge and head of the Cambridge Institute. He has lived in Cambridge for more than 20 years and is known as the person who knows Cambridge the most”. He is the author of Cambridge: Treasure Island in the Fens. During the lecture, Prof.Chrimes shared with the audience how Cambridge University gained success, the growth of Western universities, and the relationship between Cambridge and China.
