Law lecture held in Bologna University by Confucius Institute at Padua University

Dr Liu Huichun, Chinese director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Padua gave a lecture entitled “Parties’ Autonomy in the Arbitration Procedure in China” in the University of Bologna recently.

During the lecture, Dr. Liu talked about the establishment of parties’ autonomy principles in China, its contents and restrictions, as well as the definition of foreign arbitration and special provisions on parties’ autonomy in foreign arbitration. He also interpreted China's arbitration law, arbitration rules and practices with specific cases. The lecture was finished in a harmonious atmosphere with frequent interactions.

The activity was a significant initiation of the institute to introduce Chinese culture, the culture of law in particular, and created a new channel for the communication between the institute and the local universities.
