Recently, Li Siyuan, student fromSchoolofFine Artand Artistic Design, got elected in the first national Arts Talent Abroad Project.
The project was sponsored by China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE for short),TongjiUniversityand other universities in 2013, aiming to provide scholarship for potential talents to study overseas. This educational exchange move aims to select outstanding college art students and expatriate them to broaden their horizon as well as promote professional and innovative skills, in the spirit of national medium and long term educational reform and development plan (2010-2020). Our university is one of the founders of this proposal.
It should be noted that there are only 10 quotas for this project. Based on the open, fairness and transparency principle, the project caters to candidates from 70 universities. This first election has attracted 1,000 students from 46 universities including Tongji Universty, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and TianJing University etc. Li Siyuan stands out for her comprehensive ability. Next spring. Li is going to head forTongjiUniversity(Florence Campus) and stay there for a semester.
