Guangzhou University, May 26, 2014:The 9thNational Competition of Transport Science and Technology for Students closed in Harbin Institute of Technology on May 25. Under the guidance and supervision of Prof. Zang Xiaodong, two pieces of works of our university, namely the Multi-Functional Traffic Survey Platform based on Andriod and the Safety Facilities for Pedestrian Crossing Based on Video Detection won the third prize in the competition.
As the result of the joint efforts of the leading colleges and universities in traffic engineering, NACTranS offers an important platform for students from all over the country to compete and communicate as well as an opportunity for them to display their spirit and capability of technological innovation. 252 pieces of works from 109 universities nationwide were submitted this year. Through expert appraisal, 80 of them from 54 universities including Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Southwest Jiaotong University, South China University of Technology stood out and made it to the final.
