Aiming to strengthen bilateral relations and promote further cooperation, the delegation ofKeeleUniversityof theUKpaid an official visit toGuangzhouUniversityon 20 March 2015. The delegates, headed by Professor Richard Luther (Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Internationalisation) and Professor John McCarthy (Pro-Vice-Chancellor of External Affairs) were warmly received by Professor Xu Junzhong, Vice-President of Guangzhou University and colleagues with the relevant departments.
During the meeting, Professor Luther expressed willingness on behalf of the authority ofKeeleUniversityto build a long-term strategic partnership with GZU and extend cooperation from the current students exchange programme and cooperative research projects on the life sciences to a broader scope.
Echoing with what the foreign guests suggested, Vice-President Xu promised to work with the British counterparts to explore specific areas for further cooperation and foster the establishment of substantial relationship betweenGuangzhouUniversityandKeeleUniversity.
