Guangzhou University, February 27, 2014:Zou Cairong, President of GU officially welcomed the visit of Viva Fowler, Vice-chancellor of Wesleyan College and her fellow colleagues. The purpose of this visit was to exchange bilateral opinions on issues of teaching plan, recruitment & organization concerning the cooperative institute which was already under way after two years of preparation, thanks to the ongoing incessant of both sides.
After listening to the presentation on the preparation work deployed by founding committee, President Zou first exalted their achievements and then reiterated the objective of establishing a distinctive Sino-foreign cooperative institute carrying over the traits of Wesleyan College and Guangzhou University. Guangzhou University will take this opportunity to introduce the American concept and talent cultivation pattern to a full extent, provide more quality educational resources for Chinese females, and also promote the spirit, “Pursuit of Excellence”, of the Soong Sisters.
Fowler and her fellow colleagues expressed their visions of further cooperation and sincere wish that the collaboration between GU and Wesleyan College would be a massive success.
