Guangzhou University, October 30, 2013:In order to provide exchange opportunities for international students and Chinese students, the School of International Education organized "Chinese corner" to build a platform to facilitate their interaction.


In recent years, our university regularly enrolled undergraduates and graduate students from famous universities in European countries for one-year Chinese learning. And the student enrollment has kept a good momentum of expansion year by year. This semester, with the proposal of Joshua Gelhaar from Dortmund University in Germany and active assistance from the Foreign Exchange Association, the School of International Education has launched Chinese corner many times to strengthen the communication between exchange students and Chinese students. Students from the United States, German, Finland, Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, Turkey, Iran, Tanzania and other countries and Chinese students concentrats on the theme of “Chinese Culture” to learn Chinese vocabulary, make stories, play games, sing and performance. The forms of these activities are novel and the atmosphere is relaxing and joyful.
The students participated in this activity are from the University of San Diego, Germany Frankfurt European Universities, Energie Cottbus Brandenburg Industrial University, the University of Vienna, the University ofTurku in Finland,the Odense University in Denmark, the University of Tartu, University College of M?lardalen in Sweden and other well-known colleges and universities. The Chinese corner not only develops the communication and friendship between the students in our school and exchange students, but also fully shows the cultural convention of our school and the good spirit of our students.
