Guangzhou University Recruits Post-doctors at Home and Abroad

In order to attract talents, Guangzhou University recruits post-doctors in mathematics, civil engineering, statistics, education, environmental and life health and interdisciplinary subjects including Internet, big data, artificial intelligence, new information technology, intelligent manufacturing, new energy and new materials.

Applicants are generally under 35 and have received PhD degrees no more than 3 years.

Eligible post-doctors will be divided into categories of A, B, and C levels according to their academic levels, postdoctoral work plans, innovation ability, and academic development potentials. Salaries and benefits include annual salary above RMB 350,000, rewards on outstanding research achievements, postdoctoral apartments (rent subsidy), etc.

The Guangzhou Municipal Government will support a RMB 200,000 fund for each postdoctoral research project.

Post-doctors under 40 who are funded by the China Postdoctoral Science Fund and stay or come to Guangzhou could apply for the project of Guangzhou Young Talents Reserve and enjoy corresponding treatment. Eligible post-doctors can apply for rent-free accommodation in an 85-square-meter apartment or enjoy a housing subsidy of RMB 1,000,000.

Post-doctors who work full-time in and sign a contract for more than 3 years with Guangzhou’s affiliated enterprises and institutions, or start businesses in Guangzhou within 1 year after leaving research stations, could apply for a settlement fee of RMB 300,000. PhD graduates from top 200 international (overseas) universities come to work as post-doctors in Guangzhou, take full-time jobs in Guangzhou’s affiliated enterprises and intuitions after leaving research stations, or start businesses in Guangzhou, could apply to competent departments of Guangdong Province for a housing subsidy of RMB 400,000.
