[07-06] GZHU Faculty's Article Published on Human Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics

Research team lead by Associate Professor Dou Kai of Youth Psychology and Behavior Research Center, School of Education of Guangzhou University(GZHU), published the paper entitled "Theory of planned behavior explanations males' and females' intention to receive covid-19 vaccines differently" on the internationally renowned journal Human Vaccinations & Immunotherapeutics. It reveals the influencing factors and gender differences of vaccination willingness of Chinese people towards COVID-19. GZHU is the first unit and Associate Professor Dou Kai is the first author and Dr. Li Jianbin of Hong Kong Education University is the corresponding author. GZHU graduate students Yang Jin and Wang Linxin also participated in this research. 

Findings of the research enhance the utility of TPB in explaining people’s COVID-19 vaccination intention and inform gender-specific strategies to boost males’ and females’ vaccination intention.
