[01-22]Virtual Signing Ceremony for Collaboration Agreement between Guangzhou University and The University of Zaragoza Hosted

On January 21st, Guangzhou University (GZHU) hosted virtual signing ceremony for collaboration agreement between GZHU and The University of Zaragoza. GZHU President Wei Minghai and President Mayoral Murillo of University of Zaragoza signed the agreement on behalf of the two universities. GZHU Vice-President Wu Kaijun and responsible person from related departments attended the ceremony.

President Wei pointed out that Spain is an important partner among countries along the Belt and Road. In 2021, the University of Zaragoza joined the Guangzhou International Sister City Alliance at the invitation of GZHU, which opens a new chapter exchanges and collaboration between the two universities. Under the support of Guangzhou Municipal Government, the two universities will carry out cooperation in humanities and social sciences, science and engineering, strengthen exchanges among faculty and students, enhance collaboration in innovation and entrepreneurship education and launch postgraduates programs.

President Mayoral Murillo said that the University of Zaragoza, located in the most developed and dynamic region of Spain, hopes to work with GZHU to promote exchange between faculty and students of the two universities and give full play to their respective geographical advantages and advantageous disciplines. It is hoped that the two universities could serve the economic and social development of urban areas on the basis of mutual learning and win-win cooperation.
