On June 29, Guangzhou University research team led by Professor Wang Pingshan published the paper entitled "Supramolecular Triangular Orthobicupola: Supramolecular Triangular Orthobicupola: Self-Assembly of A Giant Johnson Solid J27" on Chem. It creates the largest Johnson Solids Zn24L12. The first author of the Paper is Wu Tun from the Institute of Environmental Research at Greater Bay Area.
This research proves the power of well-controlled supramolecular self-assembly to prepare the complicated structures just like what nature usually does.
