On March 27, Center for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) Language Services and Cultural Inheritance was established in Guangzhou University (GU).
The Center was approved by the Guangdong Provincial Social Science Federation as a provincial social science research base in December 2018. Professor Qu Shaobing, Chairman of the University Council, acts as Director of the Center, and GU Professor Dai Weihua acts as the Director of the Central Academic Committee. Based on the course of Chinese language and literature in GU, the Center assembles language and culture researchers in this area. Currently, it includes three research directions: language services, mass culture, and literary education. The Center aims to serve the development of language services and cultural inheritance in GBA.
