Guangzhou University Delegation Visits Universities in Denmark, Finland and Pakistan

During August 11 to 20, Vice President Zhang Qixue of Guangzhou University (GU) led a delegation which visited and signed cooperation agreements with the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Abo Akademi University and COMSATS University Islamabad.


In DTU, delegates visited the laboratories and attended academic forums to learn more about DTU's advanced experiences in management, team building and achievement transformation. Professor Ulstrup from DTU and Professor Han Dongxue from GU as well as other DTU scholars presented academic reports which deepened understanding between the two universities. The two universities also reached a consensus on cooperation in scientific research and joint programs.


During the visit to Abo Akademi University, Vice President Zhang signed a cooperation agreement between the two universities and conferred a visiting professor certificate to Professor Ari Ivaska from Abo Akademi University. The two sides agreed to collaborate in the fields of analytical and engineering chemistry and carry out joint research on new electrochemical sensing nanocomposites.


A Cooperation agreement was also signed between GU and COMSATS University Islamabad in Pakistan. This agreement includes establishing a joint research center or lab at GU, exchanging visiting scholars, training postgraduate and PhD students, launching international programs and other mutually agreeable projects.
