Professor Liu Zhaoqing, from the Clean Energy Materials Institute of Guangzhou University (GU), and his research team recently made remarkable progress in the preparation and catalytic performance of molybdenum carbide, the non-precious metal catalysts. They designed and built a heterojunction catalyst based on Co/β-Mo2C@N-CNTs. The OER properties of the molybdenum-based material in turn enable full hydrolysis. Their research was recently published in the top chemical journal German Applied Chemistry (IF = 12.1) and was selected as the VIP paper (Very Important Paper) by Veryge. Chem. Int. Ed. Professor Liu, a professor from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of GU, is the author of the paper and GU is the only university credited for the thesis.
