GU Signs and Concordia University of Edmonton Signs MOU

On November 13th, Professor Tim Loreman, President of the Concordia University of Edmonton, visited Guangzhou University and met GU President Wei Minghai and Vice President Guo Xingpeng. On behalf of the two universities, the two Presidents signed the Memorandum of Cooperation.

During the talks, President Wei introduced the history and philosophy of GU and  GU's great efforts in building a "5+2" discipline platform and accelerating the cooperation with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He pointed out that GU has been striving to develop as one of the top universities through internationalization, so as to serve the development of the local economy, society and culture. President Luo introduced Concordia University and expressed his hope to cooperate with GU in the fields of teacher education, information and computer science, such as joint training of talents and exchange among teachers and students.

Participants include responsible persons from the International Office, School of Computer Science and Education Software, School of Education, School of International Education, and other relevant departments.
