On June 29, Mrs Anja Villefrance, Consul-general of Royal Danish Consulate General in Guangzhou, led a delegation to Guangzhou University (GZHU). GZHU President Wei Minghai and responsible persons from the International Office and the Institute of the Thirteen-Hong of Canton met Mrs Anja Villefrance and her delegation.
President Wei first extended a warm welcome to Mrs Anja, and then introduced the progress the university has achieved in recent years. Since the cultural and business exchanges between China and Demark enjoyed a long history, President Wei expressed willingness to promote exchanges in humanities as well as science and technology with Danish universities. He also hoped collaboration between Guangzhou University and Danish universities could be stepped up under the support of the Royal Danish Consulate General in Guangzhou.
Mrs. Anja briefed President Wei on the preparation work of the art exhibition of historical and cultural exchange between China and Denmark. She praised GZHU’s efforts in promoting academic cooperation with Danish universities and will continue to strengthen such collaboration.
Professors and experts from the Institute of the Thirteen-Hong of Canton discussed with the delegation about the history of business and humanity communication between the two countries.
