On the afternoon of September 20th, invited by Guangzhou University (GU), Prof. Nicholas Chrimes from the Cambridge University (CU) gave a lecture entitled “Cambridge University –its Soul and Secrets behind its success”. The lecture was hosted by Professor Qu Shaobing, Head of Guangzhou University Council, and has attracted more than 400 teachers and students to attend in.
Professor Nicholas Chrimes graduated from the University of Bristol and the Insead Business School in France. As the former curator of the Fitzwilliams Museum at Cambridge University, he is the current Principal Consultant on Oriental Culture Research in Cambridge and the head of the Cambridge Institute. He has lived in Cambridge for more than 20 years and published the well-known book -- Cambridge: Treasure Island in the Fens, known as "the person who knows Cambridge the most." During the lecture, Professor Nicholas Chrimes shared with teachers and students on how Cambridge University received success, the growth of Western universities, and the relationship between China and Cambridge.
