GU and Concordia University of Edmonton Signs MOU

On November 13, Professor Tim Loreman, President of the Concordia University of Edmonton, visited Guangzhou University and met GU President Wei Minghai and Vice President Guo Xingpeng. On behalf of the two universities, the two presidents signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

During their discussion, President Wei introduced the history and philosophy of GU and  GU's great efforts in building a "5+2" disciplinary platform and accelerating cooperation with Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He pointed out that GU is becoming one of the top universities through internationalization to serve in developing the local economy, society and culture. President Luo introduced Concordia University and expressed his hope to cooperate with GU in the fields of teacher education, information and computer science to include joint training of talent and exchange among teachers and students.

Participants included responsible persons from the International Office, School of Computer Science and Education Software, School of Education, School of International Education, and other relevant departments.
