In order to expand the cooperation in talents training, scientific research and talents introduction in art design and tourism management between Guangzhou University (GU) and overseas universities, during October 6 to 13, GU leader Zhang Qiang led a delegation to visit Israeli and Moroccan Universities and Organizations. The delegation held talks with the following universities and organizations and have reached a series of cooperation projects. It includes Shenka Engineering, Design and Art College in Israel, Guangzhou Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Office in Tel Aviv, Morocco "African China Cooperation and Development Association", Morocco Travel Association, Tangier Tourism Management College, the Moroccan Publishing Industry Association and the Moroccan Hotel Industry Alliance.
On October 8, President of the Shenka Engineering, Design and Art Academy gave a warm reception to GU delegation and the two sides reached a cooperative intention in undergraduate student exchanges in Arts, teachers’ short-term visits for attending the international art workshop and the modern art design, 3D printing, clothing design, Guangzhou embroidery and ceramics.
On the afternoon of October 8, the delegation visited the Guangzhou Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Office in Tel Aviv and was received by CEO of the office. Mr. Zhang Qiang thanked the Office’s support and assistance given to GU. The two sides have worked out clear methods for scientific and technological cooperation and introducing outstanding experts and high-level talents.
On the morning of October 10th, the delegation discussed with the Moroccan tourism organization and tourism colleges in Rabat, capital of Morocco. The meeting was hosted by Dr. Nasser, Chairman of the African Association for Cooperation and Development. Mr. Mohamed Amal Kaliou, President of the Association of Moroccan Travel Agencies, representatives of the Tangier Institute of Tourism and the Moroccan Publishing Industry Association as well as the hotel service industry attended the meeting. GU delegates and Moroccan representatives agreed to jointly host the "China-Mexico Tourism Development High-Level Forum", carry out students co-tutelage projects, train tourism senior managers, and publish the China Tourism Development Cases and Moroccan Tourism Development and Boutique Lines (Chinese version). Consensus has also been reached in joint scientific research.
On the morning of October 11, the delegation and the Moroccan Hotel Industry Alliance held a meeting in Casablanca, Morocco. The two sides agreed to collaborate in the hotel industry talents training and the visit mechanism.
The visit has effectively strengthened friendship between GU and the above-mentioned universities and organizations.
