GU and Keele University Sign Talents Training Agreement

On April 27, Professor Trevor McMillan, President of Keele University visited Guangzhou University (GU). GU President Wei Minghai signed the talents training agreement on “3+1+1” undergraduate-graduate programs with President Trevor McMillan.

During the discussion, President Wei introduced the progress of developing GU as a top university. As a renowned university in United Kingdom, Keele University has its strengths in biomedicine, law, business and management. Since the two universities carried out exchanges among students and staff in 2013, fruitful results have been achieved in life science, genetic engineering and stem cell research. It is hoped that the two sides could strengthen collaboration on the basis of joint talents training.

President Trevor McMillan looked back the cooperation history between the two sides in joint undergraduate and graduate students teaching as well as research in stem cell. He hoped to promote cooperation with GU in other disciplines. Representatives of the two sides discussed about other cooperative issues.
