Professor Zhang Dian of School of Geographical Sciences of Guangzhou University confirmed that there lived human beings in Tibet in the ice age, which was about 16,000 years earlier than the earliest Tibetan human remains identified in the past. Professor Zhang's research published on the Geographical Research Letter draw high attention from international scientific community, social science circle and mass media. Many renowned magazines and journals including Nature, Explorer, Science published the findings. At the same time, many international television (CNN, StarTV, etc.), newspapers (World Daily (USA), United Morning News (Singapore), South China Morning Post, Oriental Daily, etc.) and the website also reported the important findings.
