ZHANG Ren-jie, professor, a well-known educator, supervisor of doctoral students, member of the Expert Group of the Mobile Center for Postdoctoral Studiies Assessment Group of the State Council Acadimic Degrdd Committe, mimber of the National Planning Leadership Group of Pedagogy, chief member of the National Discipline Committee ofr Educational Sociology and Director of the University's Pedagogy Rdsearch Institute. He has been engaged in the teaching and research in Educational Socilolgy and Compararive Sociology, having had 19 monographs and a high number of research papers published, undertaken a number of research porjects funded by the state, and provincial or municipal govemment. He has so far received a number of prizes for his academic achievements and been awarded the titles of "Outstanding Expert of Guangdong Province" and "Outstanding Social Scientist of Philosophy of Guangzhou".
