YANG Lu, professor, a well-kown mathematiian, and supervisor of doctoral students. Working now in the Educational software Institute of Guangzhou University, he is largely engaged in research work in the fields of Computer Science and Mathematics. He has been in charge of the State's "973 Program", had more than 100 monographs and research papers concerning Automatic Reasoning and Symbol Computing published and created the method of putting numerical values together. He has been awarded 1st Class Prize in Natural cience by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the national 2nd prize in natural science. He has so far supervised more than 40 postgraduates and been honored the title "Excellent Supervisor of Postgraduates" by the Chinese Academy of Science.
