SHAN Zun, professor, a well-known mathematician, supervisor of doctoral students, member of the Expert Group of the State Council Academic Degree Office for Assessing Applications for Issuance of Guaduate Degrees, and group eader of the Education Ministry's Experimental Class of Science. Heis working in the Computer Educational Software institute of Guangzhou University. Professor SHAN has mainly been engaged in research in Numerical Theory and Combination. He has been member of China'a MathematicalOlympic delegation which was awarded the 1st Class Prize at the international Olympic contest. He has alredy had more than 30 research papres and 20 monographs published. Professor SHAN has been awarded the following prizes and titles: the 1st Class Prize for China's Quality Books, the Prize for Excellent Research Papers by China University of Science and Technology, and the prize for Scientific and Technological Advancement by the Province, the National Model Teacher and Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Achievements.
