LIN Wei-min, professor,a reputed expert of Chmical Engineering, member of the third and fourth sessions of the Discipline Assessment Group of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, supervisor of doctoral students and former President of Guangzhou University. He has been engaged in teaching and research work of catalyst agents for industrial use and inorganic chemical industry. He has so far supervised 30 doctoral students and postgraduates. His research work includes brainstorn projects of the nation's "7th Five-year Plan" and projects financed by thenational and Guangdong Province's Natural Sciences Fund. Hehas been Granted one patent, awarded one national invention prize of class three, one provincial prize of class two for Scientific and Technological Advacement and honored the itles of "Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Achievements" by the Personnel Ministry and " Expert with Outstanding Achievements of Guangdong Province".
