HU Xiao, Research fellow, expert in philosophy, and supervisor of docoral students. He was awarded the special allowance for experts by the State Council. Engaged mainly in research on cultural philoslphy, ideological philosophy andphilosophy of art, he has so far undertaken eight research projects financed by the province and one research project suppouted by the National Natural Sciences Fund, and published 14 monographs and up to 170 research papers. He has been awarded eight ministry and province level achievement prizes and selected to the Guangdong Prvince Ex[erts Development Programof Culture and Ideology. He is concurrently deputy dirctor of the National Social and Cultural Society and deputy director of Guangdong Province Philosophy Association.
