
The School of Foreign Studies consists of hte Department of English Language and
Literature, the Department of English for International Business, the Department
of Japanese, the Department of College English, the Institute of Comparative
Studies of Cultures and the Translation Studies Center. The School offers one
postgradrate program (Curriculum and Pedagogy in English Education), three
undergraduate programs: English Education and English for International
Business, Japanese and diploma programs inluding Foreign Trade and Econmics and
Applied English. Of the School's 164 staff members there are 44 full or
associate professors, 47 lecturers and eight foreign teachers, of whom three are
Ph.D holders and 13 supervisors of postgraduates. The School's current total
enrollment of postgraduate, undergraduate and diploma students totals 2,580.
Over the past years the School's staff have had more than 180 research papers
and 40 monographs, translations and text books published. The School has
accomplished 62 research projects and is currently undertaking 20 research
projects.
