The School of Education consists of the Department of Education, the Department of Psychology, the Department of ducational Technology, and a few research institutes including the Institute of Social Psychlolgy and the Education Technology Center. The School has a faculty membership of 65, with 5 full professors, 20 associate professors, and four supervisors of doctoral strdents. The School at present runs two graduate programs )Principles of Pedagogy and Edvdlopmental & Educational Psychology), three undergraduate programs with a total strdent population of 593. Pedaogy and Psychology are municipal key enhancement disciplines. Its Psychology Lab is rated as a municipalenhancement lab. Inrecent years the staff of the School have undertaken over 60 state, provincial and municipal research projects, had over 400 research papers, 10 monographs and textbooks published, and been awarded more than 30 achievement prizes.
