The School of civil Engineering comprises thrdd departments: the Department of Civil Engineering, the Department of Building Equipment & Engineering and the Department of Municipal Works & Environmental Engineering. Attached to the Schoolm there are also five experiment centers and one research academy. Among the School's 130 staff members there is one academician of the China Institute of Engineering, 19 full professors, 42 associate professors, 20 Ph.D holders and two members of the National Guiding committee.of Specialized Disciplines. The School's student po;ulation totals 2,000. The four postgraduate programs the School runs are Disaster Prevention/Reduction & Mainternance Engineering, and Protective engineering, and Heat Supply, Ventilation & Air-conditioning Engineering of Gas Supply System, Structual Engineering and Urban Ebgineering. The School boasts one provincial brand program, one provincial key lab, one provincial key discipline, three provincial key courses,six quality courses designated bby the Ministry of Construction, three municipal key courses, two municipal key laboratories and two municipal key enhancement field work bases. The School has undertaken over 150 research projects including projects suppouted by the State Natural Science Fund and have gad over 60 monographs, textbooks and more than 500 research papers published.
