The School of Art and Design comprises three departments including the Department of Design and the Department of Music. It offers nine programs including Fine Arts Education. Industrial Fine Arts, Computerassisted Fine Arts, Industrial Design ,Fashion Design, Studies of Design, Interior Design, Music, Dance and Performance. The School is staffed with 84 teachers of whom 4 are full professors and 21 associate professors. Its student population totals 1,200. The School's curriculum of Fine Arts and Industrial Design are the University's key disciplines and its course of Water Color Painting has been rated as a municipal key course. In the past few years the School has been awarded a large number of prizes including twelve at national level and 18 at provincial level. The School's staff have had over 20 monographs, 19 textbooks and around 100 research papers publiched, and submitted several hundred desgns and creative works to 32 national, provincial art and /or desgn exhibitions. Its staff has so far had 74 books of paintings and drawings published. Quite a number of the staff's an strdents' creative works and designs have been awarded international and national prizes.
